NHS Resolution is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Sarah Coope as Head of Case Advice.
The Head of Case Advice is a new, senior role in the Practitioner Performance Advice service, which has been established to further strengthen the efficient and effective delivery and ongoing development of our case advice service, underpinned by a commitment to continuous improvement to ensure our service remains a systems leader in the resolution of concerns about performance.
Sarah is an experienced healthcare professional, having worked as a GP for the past 20 years, and has gained experience locally and nationally developing and delivering communication, leadership and professional skills training for healthcare professionals, including providing remedial support in a medico-legal setting.
Sarah also trained as an appraiser, coach and accredited mediator, and has held various leadership roles as Named GP Safeguarding Children at Clinical Commissioning Group level, Primary Care Network Clinical Director, and Director of Education at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
As Head of Case Advice, Sarah’s key responsibilities include overseeing the high delivery of the case advice service, driving service improvement initiatives, including horizon-scanning and championing innovative change and building, and maintaining a strong governance and risk management culture to ensure our service delivers for users and helps protect patient safety.

She is an experienced GP with a wealth of experience of supporting practitioners and working in primary care that will benefit our case advice service.
