Could you please provide me with a list of claims categorised under the specialty of neurosurgery (broken down into cranial and spinal neurosurgery) from inception of the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) to date (18th November 2020)?
For each claim, please provide the following data-points:
1. Principal specialty area (e.g., cranial neurosurgery, spinal surgery)
2. Claim open or closed?
3. Where the claim is closed, was it withdrawn or settled out of court or litigated in court
4. Year of alleged incident
5. Location of alleged incident
6. Year of claim (notification date/year)
7. Claimant sex
8. Claimant age (broken down into five-year brackets)
9. Date and value of any payment made to the claimant and overall legal costs for claim
(broken down into defence legal cost, claimant legal costs and claimant payments/damages)
10. Cause and type of injury leading to the claim based on NHSLA classification(s)
11. Brief description of incident.
12. Member involved (specific NHS trust or organisation or non-NHS member involved).
