In question terms, I’m trying to find out information about successful claims from all schemes across a number of specialties, but focussing on anaesthesia and its related sub-specialties of pain medicine and ICU.
Could you therefore please give me the following information:
1. For EACH of the years 2006/7 to the most recent, i.e. data separated out for each year
2. Successful claims (All Claims – no need to break it down by scheme)
3. Successful claims by volume and amount for each specialty
4. A list of all the successful claims in all specialties by value – i.e., if there are 200 settled Obstetrics CP/BD claims, a list of all 200 by value, for each of the years covered
5. Please do this for the following specialties:
- Obstetrics CP/BD
- Obstetrics Non-CP/BD
- Paediatrics
- Orthopaedic Surgery
- General surgery
- Neurosurgery
- General medicine
- Gynaecology
- Radiology
- Neurology
- Ophthalmology
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Urology
- Other
6. Please also do it for radiology, anaesthesia, neurosurgery, and intensive care medicine
7. For those in the list above (point 6), please also provide the primary cause(s) for each case alongside the amount of the settled claim.
