Capsticks, in partnership with NHS Resolution, invite you to join them at their forthcoming webinar on mediating claims in the NHS. Capsticks are delighted to be joined by the following speakers:
Julienne Vernon, Head of Dispute Resolution and Quality, NHS Resolution has handled a number of high-profile complex cases and is an accredited mediator. In her current role Julienne has oversight of NHS Resolution’s Claims Mediation Service, and will be talking to us about the organisation’s approach and strategy, and the benefits of resolving claims through mediation.
Bev Hunt, Safety and Learning Lead (Mediation), NHS Resolution oversees NHS Resolution’s Safety and Learning contribution in claims that are mediated to extract clinical learning, disseminate themes across the wider NHS and influence improving patient safety. Bev will be presenting on issues such as resolving the breakdown of a relationship between the NHS provider of care and the patient; Duty of Candour and apologies; extracting safety and learning; making meaningful improvements; and sharing good practice.
Jennifer Harris, Senior Solicitor, Capsticks will provide advice on how Capsticks can support legal services managers and healthcare professionals through the mediation process, and will present an anonymised case study demonstrating resolution through mediation which is about “more than just money”.
It will conclude with a live Q&A session where you will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panel.
