About this event

This event is being organised by one of our legal panel firms, Ward Hadaway.

Ward Hadaway are delighted to invite you to join us for a morning of free training in Newcastle on Friday 20th September where we will focus on the Court of Protection and its approach to medical treatment cases. This will include consideration of the issues to be aware of when disputes in relation to medical treatment arise and the recent developments in the Court’s approach when being asked to make a decision in respect of individual patient care.

This two-hour training session will provide a valuable outline of the process in bringing a matter before the Court of Protection, together with an update in relation to the significant and recent medical treatment decisions made by the Court of Protection. It should be of particular interest to any professional or organisation likely to be involved in Court of Protection proceedings in medical treatment cases, helping to demystify the process, understand the complex issues which will need to be considered before the Court can make an Order and provide a better understanding of the steps that need to be completed to assist the Court in making their decision.
