Sophie joined NHS Resolution in 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience in maternity care, clinical leadership and medico-legal services.
After qualifying as a midwife in 2012, Sophie worked across both acute and community settings, supporting diverse populations and providing care to birthing people and families throughout their maternity journeys. Since moving into the medico-legal field in 2019, she has developed extensive expertise in medical negligence and clinical risk.
Prior to joining NHS Resolution, Sophie spent four years as Head of Clinical, leading a multidisciplinary team of 52 nurses, midwives and doctors specialising in the review, organisation and analysis of medical records and the preparation of chronologies for medical negligence claims. Alongside her professional experience, she completed a Master’s degree in Law, specialising in Medical Negligence.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys exploring the outdoors with her medical alert assistance dog, Tashi. She is also passionate about dressmaking and cross stitch, enjoys reading and theatre, and values spending time with family. When time allows, she can often be found relaxing in her garden surrounded by wildflowers.
