I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act, please
can you provide the following:
1. The number of claims against NHS Trusts by NHS staff for personal injury/accidents at work
in the last 5 years? Can this be broken down by financial years (2019/2020, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24) and by cause? For instance, needlestick injuries, slips, trips and falls, faulty equipment, injuries/illnesses caused by inadequate PPE, Assault in the workplace, bullying and harassment in the workplace, sexual assault/harassment in the workplace.
a) Can the same information also be broken down by NHS Trust?
b) Can the same information be broken down by injury and/or cause?
