“Failure To Interpret X-Ray” and the primary injury is either:
- Aneurysm
- Thrombosis/embolism
- Brain Damage
- Rupture
- Stroke
- Spinal damage

- Including associated legal costs
4. Specialty Analysis
- Analysis by primary medical specialty
- For claims closed with damages payments
- Same financial year parameters
5. Primary Injury Analysis
- Detailed breakdown by the specific primary injuries listed above
- Cost and volume data for each injury category
- Same financial year parameters
6. NHS Trust Analysis
- List of NHS Trusts involved in claims meeting the above criteria
- Total number of claims per Trust over the 5-year period (2020/21 to 2024/25)
Total associated costs per Trust including:
- Total damages paid
- Total NHS legal costs
- Total claimant legal costs
- Grand total costs per Trust
- Breakdown by Trust showing both successful claims (with damages) and unsuccessful claims
