About this event

NHS Resolution’s Safety and Learning team will be hosting its first National Mental Health Networking Forum. This will be a quarterly forum for networking and collaboration to share good practice nationally. It will explore common themes arising from claims providing an opportunity for organisations to share experiences of implementing effective learning and best practice.

We plan to have a number of speakers on Legal and Clinical topics, as well as a forum for our members to discuss their own experience. We will invite members to present and share practical insights on improving safety, enabling learning and collaboration across the national network. At the end of each session, we will invite attendees to suggest potential topics for future networking forums.

This collaborative national event is for Trust legal, governance, patient safety specialists and clinical leads. These forums provide an opportunity for members to ask questions, feedback concerns, and to share learning at a national level.

The first forum will review National Mental Health clinical negligence data to look at themes, cause codes, and injuries across all mental health services. NHS Resolution will further provide updates on our recently published workplace violence report.

The full meeting agenda will be shared nearer to the time of the event once all speakers have been confirmed.

If you have a safety improvement project that you would like to share, please let us know by contacting nhsr.safety@nhs.net.
