The following information was requested:
I am currently looking to investigate the trends and data in litigation claims in the NHS for patients suffering from burns and possible mis-management of these cases. I am asking to request data for any litigation cases since 2010 in relation to burns management cases in the NHS. Any information that can be provided is greatly appreciated but we would want to see the following especially:
– number of claims (total and successful) – total cases we can then look at yearly
– payout from claims
– comparison with other medical specialities and what the cost of claims broadly is in other specialities
– cause of claims
– any further information
