Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I submit this request for further details to build on data provided in FOI 6423 and FOI 6873 on clinical claims in ophthalmology. I request the following information for each year between 2006/07 to 2023/24, in electronic format:
- The number of clinical claims in ophthalmology – broken down by whether the claim relates to care delivered by an NHS provider or an independent sector provider delivering NHS services, and the NHS England region (out of East of England, London, Midlands, North East and Yorkshire, North West, South East, and South West) where the care was delivered.
- The cost of settled clinical claims in ophthalmology – broken down by whether the claim relates to care delivered by an NHS provider or an independent sector provider delivering NHS services, and the NHS England region (out of East of England, London, Midlands, North East and Yorkshire, North West, South East, and South West) where the care was delivered.
- The primary cause of settled clinical claims in ophthalmology – broken down by whether the claim relates to care delivered by an NHS provider or an independent sector provider delivering NHS services, and the NHS England region (out of East of England, London, Midlands, North East and Yorkshire, North West, South East, and South West) where the care was delivered.
