– Number and Cost of Claims Closed/Settled with damages paid between financial years 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-2022, in relation to sexual misconduct/harassment\abuse. Please break down the above where the claimant was either a staff member or patient or public.
– Please provide a breakdown of the above where the claim was made against an NHS staff member. i.e. claims made over sexual abuse by NHS staff.
– List of claims close/settles with damages paid, against individual Hospital Trusts between financial years 2017-18 to 2021-2022 in relation to sexual misconduct/harassment\abuse. Please specify staff, patient or public, claimant.
– The number of referrals NHS Resolution has made to the police in relation to claims relating to sexual abuse in the specified years.
– The number of non-disclosure agreements made by NHS Resolution in relation to the claims set out above in the specified years.

The following information was requested:
1. Number of claims made for failure/delay in diagnosis and/or wrong diagnosis for the following years: 2020 – 2021 2019-2020 2018-2019 2017-2018
2. How many of these claims were as follows for each of the year as above – successfully settled as a Periodical payment order – successfully closed – not upheld – was dealt in courts – any other outcome
3. value of claims successfully closed or settled as a periodical payment order (PPO) from 2017 until the end of 2021 where wrong diagnosis and/or ‘failure/delay diagnosis’ was either the first or second cause.
