The following information was requested:
In relation to the 2022/23 financial year please state how many claims you paid out where the injury code has been “wrongful birth” or “unwanted pregnancy” and what was the total paid out in damages and the total in costs for those claims. Please state how many of the claims involved the birth of children who were healthy, how much the damages were for those cases and what the total sum paid out was in those cases.

Can you please provide me with a percentage difference, in both value and volume, for claims processed through the CNST scheme), for a) clinical negligence in relation to psychiatric treatment by the NHS in England, and b) clinical negligence that is not included in description a?
I would appreciate this being provided in a simple table format, on a year-on-year basis, since the scheme was first launched.

Clinical Negligence Damages Paid (FOI_6481)
The following information was requested:
1. How many clinical negligence claims were there, where damages were paid out for the financial years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024/Current? Please organise these by financial years.
2. What was the total amount of damages paid in relation to these claims?
3. For the financial years stated above, please provide a breakdown of the primary cause of damages, where a claim has been made where a payment(s) was/were made.
4. For the years listed above which ten NHS Trusts have had the most number of claims made against them, where a payout has been made? For each of these ten trusts please provide (i) the name of the trust, (ii) the number of claims paid out and (iii) the total value of the damages paid out in those claims.
NOTE: Please note that this question relates to the year in which the claim was settled, not the year the incident happened or the year the claim was lodged.

Please provide the same tables and figures as previously requested, but for the years 2022/23 and 2023/24 (if available).
1. How many workplace accidents or personal injury claims filed by NHS staff for each of these years. If possible, could you please clarify the claims by type of role – i.e., doctor, dentist or admin staff.
2. If the cost limit has not yet been reached, could you please provide the total figure in (£) for how much the NHS had paid out to staff for workplace accident or personal injury claims for each of the six given financial years.
3. Could you please provide the number of cases bought forward by NHS staff over each of the six given financial years for the categories below.

I would like to submit an FOI request regarding the number of claims NHS Resolution has received regarding errors made during the medication process.

1) How many claims of Patient Safety Incidents did NHS Resolution receive from 2020 to 2023 relating to errors made during the medication process? (prescribing, preparing, dispensing, and administering, monitoring or providing advice on medicines)
