Elective procedures (FOI_5800)
The following information was requested:
I wonder if NHS Resolution have any claims data that can be looked at by procedure. We are often asked about safety measures within independent healthcare and wondered if it would be possible to look at say the top ten elective procedures by NHS delivered and IS delivered care – anonymized of course. I appreciate that there are all sorts of issues with case mix adjustment so any data would need to be treated with caution – but it might be interesting to look at?

Average time to settle successful CNST claims (FOI_5750)
The following information was requested:

The problem with table 17 is that the ‘all bands’ data in the bottom row includes unsuccessful claims.
As a result, I cannot use the table to ascertain the average number of years from NHSR notification to settlement for all CNST claims which were successful (i.e. where damages were awarded). Table 17 provides a breakdown by value but doesn’t provide the overall figure all successful CNST claims.
I still therefore require the requested data for all CNST claims which were successful.

The following information was requested:

Regarding the timeframe, I was hoping to have visibility from 2008 to now as the NHS was performing very well at that time. I will understand if this is too difficult.
The minimum data range I need is 2017 to now as I need to look at some pre-covid data.
