The following information was requested:
I write under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act to request data on the total cost of settling legal claims relating to assaults of staff employed by the East of England Ambulance Service, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, North West Anglian NHS Foundation Trust, and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust between 2019-24.
As part of the request, I’d like the information broken down into the following:
i) The total number of assaults claims brought by staff against the aforementioned trusts between 2019-24, broken down into trusts, years and a grand total.
ii) The total number of assault claims reported by aforementioned trust staff between 2019-24, broken down into trusts, years and a grand total.
iii) Of these, the total number of assault claims brought by staff against the above trusts that were upheld, unsuccessful or withdrawn between 2019-24, broken down into trusts, years and grand total.
iii) The total cost of settling assault claims brought forward by staff from the above trusts between 2019-24, broken down into trusts, years and a grand total.
