Webinar resource
Our latest Mental Health Network session (8 April 2026) is now available to watch, along with the full slide deck.
This session focused on mental health inpatient care, bringing together a range of perspectives from across the system and sharing practical learning you can take back into your own organisation.
Louisa Bradley opened the session with insights from the NHS Resolution workplace violence report, highlighting what the data is telling us about safety risks in inpatient settings. Colleagues from South London and Maudsley, Faiza Aurangzaib, Samar Mohamad and Simon Sherring then shared powerful work on reducing restrictive practices, including practical approaches and leadership insights to support real change on the ground.
We also heard from Keely Oates and Elin Benjamin from Greater Manchester Mental Health, who explored how trauma-informed care is being embedded in practice to improve patient outcomes. Leanne Gelder from NHS England provided an overview of the national Quality Transformation programme and Culture of Care standards, before Simon Lindsay from Bevan Brittan LLP rounded off the session with an important update on the Mental Health Act and what it means for services.
Whether you joined us on the day or couldn’t make it, take some time to watch the session and explore the slides where there is practical learning, reflection and shared experience to take away.
