Being fair campaign

Thank you for your interest in our Being fair campaign. Below you will find some key resources from the campaign.

Being fair 2 report

The Being fair 2 report aims to promote the value of a person-centred workplace that is compassionate, safe and fair when care in the NHS goes wrong.

It follows on from the original Being fair report published in 2019. With workforce issues like incivility, bullying and harassment still prevalent across the NHS system, the report sets out the benefits of adopting a more reflective and fair approach to support staff to learn from incidents of harm.

Just and learning culture charter

The Just and learning culture charter has been developed as a resource to support the creation of a person-centred workplace that is compassionate, safe and fair when care in the NHS goes wrong. It evolved out of our first Being fair publication in 2019 and features in our Being fair 2 report.

We hope our charter will act as a tool to help organisations take a consistent approach towards staff in relation to incidents and errors.
