The following information was requested:

In a previous FoI response [Ref FoI_3040] you gave details on the number of times you engaged private detectives to investigate a potential claimants’ day-to-day activities. This response provided data for 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17. Could you now supply similar data, including cases where exaggeration of injury was observed, for 2024/25.

In relation to the last five years could you please provide a list of the principal injury of those people who were investigated AND where exaggeration was observed. Please note I am just asking for a list, not a count relating to each type of principal injury.

Legal fees for Inquests (FOI_7561)

Staff calendars (FOI_7558)

This is a freedom of information request relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) events in staff calendars.

Please provide me with the following:

Paediatric Neurosurgery (FOI_7559)

Service: Claims Management Speciality: Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery

The following information was requested and clarified:

Could you please provide me with a list of claims categorised under the specialty of paediatric neurosurgery (that is neurosurgery performed in patients under 18 years of age) from inception of the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) to date.

For each claim, please provide the following data-points:

1. Age
2. Claim open or closed?
3. Where the claim is closed, was it withdrawn or settled out of court or litigated in court
4. Year of alleged incident
5. Year of claim (notification date/year)
6. Date and value of any payment made to the claimant and overall legal costs for claim
(broken down into defence legal cost, claimant legal costs and claimant payments/damages)
7. Cause and type of injury leading to the claim based on NHSLA classification(s)
8. Brief description of incident.

The intention is to produce a report of interest to England-based practicing paediatric neurosurgeons regarding the areas of practice that are most high risk for litigation, and to identify areas of potential improvement.

Hybrid working arrangements (FOI_7552)

The following information was requested:

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding hybrid working arrangements and office utilisation at NHS Resolution’s premises at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf.

Please provide the following information:

1. Hybrid contracts
The number of staff currently employed on contracts that specify attendance at the office one day per week (or an equivalent hybrid pattern based in London).
The total number of staff based at the 10 South Colonnade office.

2. Office attendance
The average number of staff attending the office each week over the past 12 months (broken down by month if available).
The highest and lowest weekly attendance figures recorded in that period.

3. Monitoring and audit
Details of how office attendance is tracked and audited (e.g., via swipe card data, desk booking systems, or self-reporting).
Copies of any internal policies or guidance on hybrid working attendance and monitoring for staff at the 10 South Colonnade office.

4. Value for money and utilisation
The annual cost to NHS Resolution of leasing, maintaining, and servicing the 10 South Colonnade office.

utilisation, or value for money of the hybrid working model or the Canary Wharf office.
