On 23 March 2020 we contacted members regarding a pause to the majority of reporting requirements to the maternity incentive scheme until Monday 31 August 2020. NHS Resolution has worked with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), MBRRACE-UK and the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) to reduce the obligation on trusts to report cases that meet the Each Baby Counts (EBC) criteria and align processes where possible. From 1 April 2020, it was no longer necessary for trusts to report Early Notification (EN) cases to NHS Resolution. As a result, on Monday 20 April 2020 we issued a joint letter, Revisions to maternal and perinatal reporting requirements during Covid-19, explaining this decision in more detail. Following a meeting with the Collaborative Advisory Group held in July 2020, we provided an interim update to all trusts on Wednesday 12 August 2020. A further update was sent to all members regarding the maternity incentive scheme on Wednesday 26 August 2020.
On Wednesday 2 September 2020 we issued a further joint letter (with RCOG, MBRRACE-UK and HSIB): Update to revisions to maternal and perinatal reporting requirements during Covid-19
