Today marks the publication of the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare report, which considers how artificial intelligence can be adopted safely, responsibly and effectively across health and care.
NHS Resolution welcomes the report, and the important contribution it makes to the continuing discussion about the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.
To complement the Commission’s work, NHS Resolution has published guidance and frequently asked questions on indemnity and liability considerations that may arise when AI-enabled technologies are used in NHS settings.
The guidance is intended to help NHS organisations understand how NHS Resolution schemes operate in this evolving area. It supports the wider system conversation while remaining focused on NHS Resolution’s role and responsibilities.
