NHS Resolution has launched the procurement of its claims mediation panel, with a closing date of Monday 9 March 2020. The aim is to bring patients and the NHS together to resolve disputes without the need for litigation. All NHS trusts in England are members of NHS Resolution’s indemnity schemes, which puts it in the unique position of being able to procure the highest quality mediation services for the NHS at the lowest possible cost.
The procurement comprises of two ‘lots’ covering mediation services to resolve claims for personal injury and clinical negligence and those arising from claims for legal costs. It is anticipated that the contract(s) will awarded to a supplier/suppliers for an initial period of three years, commencing on 1 May 2020.
