As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to deliver on-site clinical performance assessments of practitioners in the NHS at this time. We understand that healthcare organisations may still need help with assessing aspects of a practitioner’s clinical performance so we have developed a Local Assessment of Clinical Performance to facilitate and support NHS organisations in undertaking clinical performance assessments locally during this period.
A Local Assessment of Clinical Performance is a bespoke tool for use by healthcare organisations to assess aspects of a practitioner’s clinical performance about which there are concerns. It is suitable for practitioners in all clinical specialties. It involves Practitioner Performance Advice providing a framework and support for a clinical assessment of a practitioner to be undertaken at their place of work and conducted by local assessors.
Further information can be found on our dedicated Local assessment of clinical performance page
Given the pandemic, Practitioner Performance Advice continue to deliver behaviour assessments remotely to support organisations managing performance concerns.
