NHS Resolution’s Practitioner Performance Advice (PPA) service has a range of face-to-face and virtual training courses that aim to provide healthcare organisations with the knowledge and skills to identify and manage performance concerns locally.
While we run both public and in-house trainings, we encourage you to consider a public workshop as a first option before requesting in-house training.
Public workshops provide greater flexibility and planning opportunities for organisations, ensuring training is accessible across multiple regions. Key benefits include:
- Early access to training dates allowing clinicians and practitioners to plan around clinical commitments.
- Face to face networking opportunities with PPA advisors.
- Regional face to face events supporting networking opportunities and share good practice.
To see a list of public events from April 2026 – March 2027, please visit our events calendar.
The calendar includes a number of date options/locations for:
- Virtual half-day events (Resolving Performance Concerns, Understanding and Using Maintaining High Professional Standards Effectively)
- 2-Day face-to-face events (Case Investigator, Case Manager)
Please click on the link here to scroll through the list of events and book directly on Eventbrite for the workshop of your choice. Please note this function is first come, first served, so we encourage you to book at your earliest convenience to secure your spot.
- How many delegates can one Trust/organisation send to a public event?
The public course is suitable if your organisation has 1 – 8 delegates. We encourage you to send delegates to the appropriate course to cater to the role they will take on i.e. who plan to become case investigators/ case managers in the future as part of their roles.
- I could not find a suitable date or location. What should I do?
Please keep an eye on the calendar online for any updated new virtual and face-to-face events. Please email us at nhsr.adviceeducation@nhs.net if you would like to receive notifications about additional events scheduled.
- We would like to send more than ten delegates. What are the options?
We can discuss the need for an in-house session for between 15 – 24 delegates. Please email us at nhsr.adviceeducation@nhs.net to get more information regarding course information, costs and dates. We require at least 8 weeks lead time to secure dates/trainers to accommodate requests.
- I am unable to pay on Eventbrite using a credit card. How can I pay?
Please email us at nhsr.adviceeducation@nhs.net for alternative payment options.
